Dr. John B. Peatman

         John B. Peatman is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his BSEE degree from Swarthmore College and MSEE and Ph.D. degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He has worked for Honeywell, has been on the faculty at the University of Missouri at Rolla, and has worked as a design engineer with Hewlett-Packard Company during five summers plus a year in Scotland. He is the author of the following textbooks:

         He has served as the chair of the "IEEE-488 General Purpose Instrumentation Bus" committee of IEEE. He is a director of Intelligent Systems Corporation and a Fellow of the IEEE. Professor Peatman's current research interests include the design of low-cost development tools for microcontrollers as well as applications of microcontrollers.
